Motorized Drive Rollers

What is a motorized drive roller ?

The motorized drive roller, or MDR, is a self-powered transmission roller with an integrated motor installed inside the roller body. Compared to a traditional motor, the integrated motor is lighter and has higher output torque. The high-efficiency integrated motor and reasonable roller structure design help reduce operation noise by 10% and make the MDR maintenance-free, easy to install, and replace.

This motor driven conveyor system features a compact design with the motor integrated into the pipe, making it ideal for speed control and handling medium to light loads. The energy-efficient DC brushless gear motor includes a braking energy recovery function for better energy savings.

The drive conveyor offers flexibility with multiple models and customizable roller lengths. It operates at a DC 24V safety voltage, with speeds ranging from 2.0 to 112m/min and a speed regulation range of 10% to 150%. The motorized drive rollers are made from zinc-plated carbon steel or stainless steel, and the transfer method uses components like O-belt pulleys, synchronous pulleys, and sprockets.

roller spec.

Non-Drive (Straight)

◆ As a plastic steel bearing housing direct roller drive, its application range is very broad, especially in box-type conveying systems.
◆ The precision ball bearing, plastic steel bearing housing, and end cover form the key bearing components, which not only improve aesthetics but also ensure quieter operation of the rollers.
◆ The end cover of the roller effectively prevents dust and water splashes from entering the working environment.
◆ The design of the plastic steel bearing housing allows it to function in certain special environments.

O-Ring Belt

◆The O-ring belt drive features low operating noise and fast conveying speed, making it widely used in light to medium load box-type conveyors.
◆Precision ball bearings with rubber covers, and externally-pressurized plastic steel protective covers help prevent dust and water damage to the bearings.
◆The groove position of the roller can be customized according to user requirements.
◆ Due to the rapid torque decay, a single motorized drive roller can typically drive only 8-10 passive rollers effectively. The weight of the goods conveyed by each unit should not exceed 30kg.

O-ring Belt Calculation and Installation:
◆“O-rings” require a certain amount of pre-tension during installation. The pre-tension amount may vary depending on the manufacturer. The circumference of the O-ring is generally reduced by 5%-8% from the theoretical base diameter.

Double Sprocket (08B14T) (Steel Material)

◆ The steel sprocket is welded integrally with the drum body, and the tooth profile complies with GB/T1244, working in combination with the chain.
◆ The sprocket features an external bearing design, making it easier to maintain and replace bearings.
◆ Precision ball bearings, plastic steel bearing housings, and end cover designs form key bearing components, ensuring not only aesthetic appeal but also quieter roller operation.
◆ The end cover of the roller effectively prevents dust and water splashes from entering the working environment.
◆ The load capacity per zone can reach up to 100kg.

Poly-Vee Pulley (PJ) (Plastic Material)

◆IS09982, PJ-type multi-wedge belt, with a groove pitch of 2.34mm and a total of 9 grooves.
◆Based on the conveying load, either a 2-groove or 3-groove multi-wedge belt can be selected. Even with the 2-groove multi-wedge belt, the unit load capacity can reach up to 50kg.
◆ The multi-wedge pulley is paired with the drum body, ensuring separation between the driving and conveying areas in space, thus avoiding the impact of oil on the multi-wedge belt when conveyed materials are oily.
◆ The end cover of the roller effectively prevents dust and water splashes from entering the working environment.

Synchronous Pulley (Plastic Material)

◆ Made from high-quality plastic material, offering both durability and a lightweight structure, ideal for long-term operation in various industrial applications.
◆ Precision ball bearings, plastic steel bearing housings, and end cover designs form key bearing components, ensuring not only aesthetic appeal but also quieter roller operation.
◆ Flexible layout, easy maintenance/installation.
◆ The design of the plastic steel bearing housing allows it to operate in certain special environments.

Choosing the right roller depends on the transmission method, load capacity, and precision requirements of your conveyor system. Let's discuss your specific needs and receive expert recommendations!
